What’s Not to Love?

It is finally February, the month of LOVE, so it is only fitting that we chat about our heart’s desire…right? How about mixing it up a bit and talk about ‘Why Greenville?’ What makes this town special? Why do we love Greenville?

When I was transferred to this side of the state, I swore up & down that I would NEVER EVER live in the city of Greenville. It was too busy, the traffic was enraging, it was too noisy…you know the drill. I was convinced that the city should have been called the speed-bump/hump capitol of the world because I nearly launched us through the windshield more than once while driving to show property. Why? Would someone please explain why there are so many speed humps around here?? Ok..moving on.

What changed my mind? Honestly, it was Opportunity. Sometimes an opportunity lands in our lap and we have to rethink our original position. Now, I wouldn’t have it any other way and I feel blessed to live and work in this crazy town. The conveniences of living near grocery stores, retail, restaurants, doctors, and the clients I serve, have all made this a wonderful place to call ‘home’.

Greenville has had tremendous growth in the last 10 years and is evident as you drive Uptown or in the Medical District. You may have to circle like a vulture for parking, but it is definitely worth the effort. Music, great food, art and events (like our Umbrella Market) make 5 Points Plaza the place to be!

The odd thing about our town is that, despite its growth, it still feels “small town”. People smile, are friendly, and say ‘hi’ with a genuine smile. You can strike up a conversation with a complete stranger and leave with their contact info and life story…they really welcome you with open arms.

The city has many resources that can help new residents transition, or assist anyone thinking or making Greenville their home.
